Nearly 100 years ago King and Pierce Counties inked an agreement to “improve” the White and Puyallup Rivers and mitigate flooding. We’ve learned a lot during these 100 years and it seems the work has really just begun.
Pam Roach was elected to the Pierce County Council after serving in the State Senate for 26 years which made her the longest-serving female state senator in Washington. Councilwoman Roach has an extensive history of working to improve education, supporting public safety, ensuring job creation, open government and taxpayer rights.
Councilwoman Roach Lives in Sumner with her husband Jim. They have five grown children and 17 grandchildren. Councilwoman Roach serves on the County Council with her son Councilman Dan Roach. They are the first mother and son to simultaneously serve on the Pierce County Council.
