Pierce County Ordinance NO. 2004-68 was passed by the County Council on October 5, 2004. This Ordinance provides for public access to electronic data and services. The effective date for this Ordinance is November 1, 2004. The Ordinance was amended by Ordinance NO. 2005-85 effective on December 5, 2005. The Ordinance was further amended by Ordinance NO. 2008-34 effective on July 1, 2008.

The following types of subscriptions and fees will be available.
- Electronic Set-up Fee a one time set up fee of $25.00 for each subscriber. A Non-Attorney support staff sponsored by an attorney subscriber requires a $10.00 setup fee.
- Attorney Unrestricted Subscriber unlimited access as subject to the terms of the contract. $175.00 per year or $25.00 per month.
- Litigant Case Subscriber individuals or attorneys who desire access to a single case to which they are a party of record or an attorney. $25.00 per case.
- Non-Attorney Case Subscriber individuals or entities who desire access to a single case to which they are not a party or attorney of record. $25.00 per case.
- Non-Attorney Unrestricted Subscriber those individuals or entities who desire unrestricted electronic access to non-confidential court records. $175.00 per year or $25.00 per month.
- Non-Attorney Unrestricted Subscriber Reseller those individuals or entities who desire unrestricted electronic access to non-confidential court records who are in the business of reselling records. $175.00 per year, plus $.10 per page of any document viewed.
- Government Subscriber any federal, state or local government entity which registers as such with the Clerk. There shall be no fees, other than setup fees.

A subscription is not required to E-file or to Confirm or Strike a proceeding.

The Clerk is offering groups of 5 or more a demo and set up seminar in the comfort of your own office. This seminar would take approximately 1 hour and can be done in your own conference room with an internet connection.
