Poll Workers
Poll Workers are assigned to work at a polling place located in Pierce County. An average Election Day is 16 hours, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. We are currently hiring 100 new judge positions to work the polls this year. Judges receive $130 for the day plus reimbursement for training classes. Applicants must meet the above requirements.
Troubleshooters
Troubleshooters are individuals who travel to assigned Pierce County polling locations on Election Day. They must become skilled in the operation and maintenance of voting equipment and procedures. In addition to the above requirements, applicants must have a valid Washington State Drivers License. Troubleshooters may be required to work additional hours before and/or after Election Day.
Express Booth Workers
Express Booth Workers are assigned to Ballot Drop-off Booths located geographically across Pierce County. Two teams of two individuals work half days each, beginning four days prior to, and on Election Day. Above requirements apply.
Other Positions Available
In addition to the above positions, we are looking for Parking Lot Attendants, Ballot Pick-up Teams, and individuals to assist with Ballot Processing.

Applicants may complete the Election Worker On-line Application or apply in person at the Pierce County Election Center, 2501 S 35th St. Suite C, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All applicants will be interviewed by the Poll Worker Coordinator who will contact you.
