Each day, Animal Control Officers respond to calls throughout unincorporated Pierce County and the contract Towns of Wilkeson and South Prairie. Officers assist the public from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with emergency services provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week by on-call officers.

Animal Control Officers respond to the following requests:

• vicious animal complaints
• cruelty investigations
• animal bites
• domestic animals running at large
• barking dog complaints
• injured animal rescues
• police department calls for assistance
• loose livestock on roadways
• patrol requests

PETS line phone hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Animal Control Officers check messages on the weekends for non-emergency calls to the PETS line. IF IT IS AN EMERGENCY ***CALL 911***

Once you have obtained a case number from the dispatcher or an officer, you can download the Animal Control Complaint Statement Form.
