The Pierce County Auditor's Office is offering a program in schools called Voting is Cool. This program emphasizes the importance of voting in our society. The program gives students in kindergarten through sixth grade the opportunity to learn about and experience the voting process.

Many schools across Pierce County are participating in the Voting is Cool Educational Program. Schools do not have to be part of the 'Voting is Cool' Program to participate in the Voting is Cool Poster Contest.

Do you want your students to participate in a fun voting program? Join the Voting is Cool program today! This program not only emphasizes the importance of voting in our society, but also teaches elementary school children the process of voting. In the past 8 years over 90,000 students in Pierce County have participated. Help plant a seed of democracy!

The program is offered to all K-6 students in Pierce County.
All the materials for the Educational Program are provided by the Auditor's Office.

Orders must be submitted by August 30, 2008.

The Voting is Cool Poster Contest is offered in addtion to the Educational Program. Students are given the opportunity to use their imaginations to illustrate what voting means to them. Our hope is that you would give all of your students the opportunity to participate in this contest and take some time to discuss with them the power of voting. History is full of many examples of famous elections won by simply one vote.
