Infectious Disease Prevention training is required for all individuals seeking certification in Washington State. The Office of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System accepts the following training to meet the bloodborne pathogens training requirement:
The 'Infectious Disease Prevention For EMS Providers' (Oct 97) training program which is usually taught in initial First Responder and EMT-B courses, but may be available at the local EMS level.
