The mission of Pierce County District Court, as an independent and impartial branch of government, is to promote respect for law, society and individual rights; provide open, accessible and effective forums for dispute resolution; resolve legal matters in a just, efficient and timely manner and assure the dignified and fair treatment of all parties.
Pierce County District Court's Criminal Division , located at the County City Building, administers criminal and certain civil matters. The Civil & Infraction Division, located at 96th and Hosmer, processes pre-trial actions, small claims, impounds, traffic and non-traffic infractions.
Fee Increases Effective July 1, 2009 Effective July 1, 2009, antiharassment, civil, and small claims filing fees will increase. Infraction, civil, and small claims appeal fees will also increase.
