The toll violation is issued for evading toll payment on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. All drivers are required to pay on their eastbound trip from Gig Harbor to Tacoma when you cross over the bridge.


If you sold or traded your vehicle prior to the date of the toll violation, send a copy of the report or sale or release of interest to the court along with a copy of your ticket.


If your vehicle was stolen prior to the date of the toll violation, send a copy of the police report along with a copy of your ticket.


You should contact Good to Go! directly when:
  • You have a transponder.
  • Your Good to Go! Account was charged but you still received a citation.
  • You have a receipt for your toll payment but you received a citation.
  • You have received notification from a rental company that a citation will be sent in your name.
  • You don?t have a receipt but you paid at the Toll lane with a credit or debit card.

Payment may be mailed or delivered in person to either of the Court's locations, Civil/Infraction Division of Pierce County District Court, 1902 - 96th St. S, Tacoma, WA 98444 or Criminal Division of Pierce County District Court, 930 Tacoma Ave. S. Room 601, Tacoma, WA 98402.

District Court accepts cash, personal checks, money orders, VISA, MasterCard, and debit cards at both court locations.

Make all checks and money orders payable to Pierce County District Court. Please include the ticket number on your check or money order. Mail your payments to Pierce County District Court, 1902 96th St S, Tacoma, WA 98444.

You may pay online with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit card, or electronic check. To make a credit card payment online, go to www.officialpayments.com. To make an electronic check payment, go to www.officialpayments.com/echeck.

If you wish to pay by phone with VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, debit card, or electronic check, you may call 1-800-272-9829. Please use the Jurisdiction Code 5684.

There is a $4.95 convenience fee for credit card payments. There is a $3.00 transaction fee for electronic checks.


You may be eligible for time payments on this account. If you are eligible, you will be required to make minimum monthly payments as set by the Court until your fine(s) is paid in full.

You may be eligible to pay the amount through performance of community service hours, work crew or day reporting. Limited time is allowed for completion and a fee is required.

You must contact the court in person to request either of these options.


No. However, if you fail to pay the fine, it may affect your ability to renew your vehicle license. Failure to properly register your vehicle may result in additional infraction and criminal charges.


If you agree that you committed the violation but would like to explain the circumstances, mark the second box on the back of the ticket for a mitigation hearing. This hearing is to explain the circumstances, not to argue that you did not commit the violation.

If you believe you did not commit the violation, mark the third box on the back of the ticket for a contested hearing.

To receive a hearing date, you must either appear in person or mail your copy of the ticket to the Infraction Division of Pierce County District Court, 1902 - 96th St. S, Tacoma, WA 98444 within 15 days of the violation date. The court will mail you a notice with a hearing date.


You have the option to have your court date via mail. Please write this request on the bottom of your ticket. Don't forget to indicate whether you want a mitigation or contested hearing. The Court will send you the appropriate forms for you to complete.
