Located at 3704-3706 South Yakima Avenue in Tacoma, Rap Work Release accepts offenders convicted of a wide variety of violent and non violent crimes. The only work release facility in the state designed for convicted adult felons who have developmental disabilities, it houses 20 offenders at a time regardless of where they have been convicted.
At any given time, a large percentage of offenders at RAP come from outside Pierce County. While the facility has a therapist available for limited individual counseling, it depends largely upon community mental health resources.
