Pierce County Parks and Recreation is proposing an increase in some fees in 2010, including ballfield rentals, picnic shelter reservations and greens fees for both Lake Spanaway and Fort Steilacoom golf courses.

The Men's and Women's Golf Clubs from both golf courses had opportunities to review and comment on the proposed fees.

The Pierce County Parks and Recreation Citizens' Advisory Board also reviewed and approved a resolution in support of the department's proposed fee revisions at their June board meeting.

The proposed fees will go to the County Council for review in September. Final action by the Council typically occurs before December 1, with the County Executive's approval about one week later.
