Word on the Street: Improvements to 112th Street East (198th Avenue East / 199th Avenue Court East to 300 feet west of 203rd Avenue East)

What's Happening
We're improving 0.25 miles of 112th Street East from 198th Avenue East to 300 feet west of 203rd Avenue East (CRP 5590). Improvements, designed to improve transportation connectivity, include:

• Extend 112th Street East to connect with the future 198th Avenue East. (CRP 5676)
• Provide a west bound right turn lane at 198th Avenue East.
• Provide concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and retaining walls.
• Provide enclosed storm drain system as well as stormwater treatment and storage facilities.

September 2008

• Engineering: Preliminary engineering was completed in August.
• Land: Final right-of-way plans are complete.

• September 2008 and beyond: Right-of-way acquisition is underway. Additional funds for final engineering and actual construction has not been identified. Current plans call for constructing this project along with 198th Avenue East and 199th Avenue Court East from 104th Street East to Rhodes Lake Road East (CRP 5676) once funds become available. A schedule for these activites has not yet been developed.
