What's Happening
Pierce County will be improving slightly over a mile of the Fox Island Bridge Rd NW/Warren Drive NW/32nd Street NW (CRP 5667) from the Fox Island Bridge #26211-A to 70th Avenue NW. Improvements, designed to improve sight distance and relieve traffic congestion, include:

• Reconstruction to provide a standard rural 2-lane road with 6-foot paved shoulders.
• Adding asphalt barrier curb and guardrail in some locations.
• Adding an enclosed storm drain system as well as stormwater treatment facilities.

September 2008

• Engineering: Contract documents are complete.
• Land: Right-of-way acquisition is complete.
• Contract Administration: The cotnract bid opening was held on Friday, September 26, 2008. We are currently reviewing all bids to determine the approved low bid Contractor.
