Word on the Street: Improvements to Stewart Road East (from the Stuck River to Lake Tapps Parkway East)
What's Happening
The Stewart Road Improvement Project (CRP 5660) will widen and re-build a heavily traveled arterial in the North Pierce County area between the Stuck River and Lake Tapps Parkway East.
This project has been awarded grant funding from the Transportation Improvement Board as part of the Transportation Partnership Program and is being designed in cooperation with the City of Sumner. The project bid opening was held on Friday, May 11, 2007. All bids have been rejected and the project is anticipated to be re-advertised in Fall 2008 for an anticipated construction start in mid-2009.
