HOW TO ORDER/REPLACE A CART & SIZES AVAILABLE:
- There are two recycling cart sizes available: 65-gallon and 96-gallon.
- In unincorporated Pierce County, the 96-gallon cart will be delivered by default. When signing up for service, notify your hauler if you want the smaller cart.
WHEN IS YOUR RECYCLING DAY?
You will receive an information packet delivered with your recycling cart which includes your hauler's recycling collection schedule, or you may contact your hauler to determine your recycling collection day.
ALTERNATIVES FOR RESIDENTS WITH LONG, STEEP DRIVEWAYS:
- Some residents may have concerns that they will be unable to use the 96-gallon recycling cart because of long, steep driveways.
- The haulers have crafted a number of options and will work with you to design a solution which meets your needs. Please contact your hauler to discuss an alternative recycling solution.
BENEFITS OF RECYCLING CART:
- Wheels and a handle make the cart easy to move.
- No need to sort recyclables.
- One container means just one trip to the curb.
- Eliminates the need to set out mixed paper in a sack or stack cardboard under the bins to keep it from littering the neighborhood.
- All recylables can fit in the cart. Please note: items left outside the cart (such as cardboard) will not be picked up.
- The snug, water-proof lid keeps our rain, insects and prying eyes.
