Preparation Instructions for paper/mixed paper:

  • Put shredded paper in a paper grocery bag and place inside the recycling cart. This helps keep scraps of paper from littering your neighborhood.
  • Pizza boxes cannot be recycled.
  • Wrapping paper can be recycled, but foil wrap paper and metallic tape cannot be recycled. Remove as much tape from wrapping paper as possible.

Paper cartons used for milk and juice can be recycled in the new recycling cart. All sizes are recyclable (half-pint, pint quart, and half-gallon).

  • Rinse before putting in the recycling cart. Residue from milk and other dairy products could sour and leave an odor in cart.
  • Small juice boxes and pouches cannot be recycled and must be disposed of in your trash. These containers are made with a layer of foil that is difficult to separate during processing.
