Ferry Links:

Walk-on passengers must be aboard five minutes prior to departure time. When waiting to disembark, walk-on passengers must wait in designated areas until directed to disembark by the ferry crew.

Vehicles must be in line at least 20 minutes prior to departure or they may not be loaded.

When approaching the loading lanes at the Steilacoom Landing and at the Anderson Island Landing, fill Lane 1 first, Lane 2 second, and Lane 3 last. Loading of the ferry will take place in the same order.
Ferry passengers must have the correct ticket(s) or passage will be denied.

Ferry passengers should turn off cell phones and must follow directions from the ferry crew when loading and disembarking. Stay in the lanes as directed by the ferry crew and drive 5 m.p.h. or less.

At night, please turn off car headlights and use only parking lights when loading . Be cautious of the ferry crew and other passengers on the vehicle deck.

When parking on the vehicle deck:

  • Pull as close as you can to the vehicle in front of you
  • Set the emergency brake
  • Turn the engine off

Please wait until traffic around you and in the adjacent lanes has stopped before opening your vehicle doors.

Traffic volumes vary greatly. To avoid the heaviest weekday traffic, tourists should not travel during weekday commute periods--from Anderson Island in the morning and to Anderson Island in the early evening.

Times listed in the schedule are departure times. Ferry vessel loading may cease up to five minutes in advance of departure.

Please do not park your vehicle on the Steilacoom Landing to purchase your tickets unless you have a disabled parking permit.
