Successful applicants will be hired primarily to provide traffic control support (flagging) for road maintenance and operations crews. Other duties may include hand work and other manual labor. Flagging certification is desired, but will be provided if needed.
Employees in this classification will work a 40-hour work week, with the potential for occasional overtime. Pay is $16.75 per hour. The work week is Monday through Friday, but may be altered to include a four-day, ten-hour work week.
The length of employment is up to 6 months. Six-month term could begin as early as March 2007. Additional seasonal workers will be hired as needed through the summer.
