The Construction and Inspection Division is responsible for the management of all Sewer Utility Capital Improvement Projects including contract administration, construction inspection, and final project close-out.
The Division provides construction and inspection services for all developer-installed sewer extension projects that will be turned over to the County and become part of the overall public sewer system. Inspection for all projects is provided by a professional staff of three inspectors, each assigned to a number of specific projects and follows each project through to completion.
The Pierce County Sewer Utility utilizes the Capital Facilities Plan (CFP), a six-year financing and budgeting plan, to plan for new construction for the Chambers Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), and additional infrastructure improvements throughout the County's sewer service area basin. The Construction and Inspection Department ensures that plans and specifications for all projects are followed and completed prior to acceptance by the County.
