The Hazardous Waste Facility is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. (closed 12 - 1 pm).
Accepts: antifreeze, automotive products, cooking oil, flammable liquids, fluorescent light bulbs, glues, household cleaners, motor oil (used), ni-cad batteries, oil-based paints, pet products, and yard and garden chemicals.
NOT accepted: 55-gallon drums, latex paint, asbestos, biological waste, compressed-gas containers, explosives, radioactive materials, waste produced by businesses (commercial waste). |

There's no charge to dispose of hazardous waste, but you must show proof of Pierce County residency (such as driver's license).
