Why we prepare a Capital Facilities Plan
As part of the annual budget process, the County Council must approve our 6-year Capital Facilities Plan (CFP). The CFP lists all capital projects being designed or constructed over the next six years and is divided up by funding sources. Although divisions and departments develop individual plans, they are all incorporated into one document known as that year's 'Capital Facilities Plan Amendments' which is adopted and amends the previous year's CFP.
Surface Water Management has two funding sources: Surface Water Management funds and River Improvement funds. Shown below are both the current adopted 2006 CFP and also the draft of the proposed 2007 CFP amendments for those funding sources.
