General Description of the Nisqually River Basin:

The Nisqually River basin planning area encompasses approximately 240 square miles within the 760-square mile Nisqually River Watershed. The Nisqually River Basin Plan contains 41 capital improvement projects, 21 programmatic measures, and 19 studies. Capital improvement projects and programmatic measures have been divided into 'High-Priority', 'Medium-Priority', and 'Low-Priority' groups. Studies were not prioritized with the capital improvement projects and the programmatic measures. However, some studies were flagged as 'high-priority studies' to distinguish those studies as urgent actions.
