April 26th, 2008 - 1p-4p

Crescent Valley Alliance will be holding an event during the time of Earth Week and Arbor Day. Activities will be taking place at Gig Harbor City Park, Crescent Creek! Plans are underway for some interesting activities. Keep an eye on their new website where information will be posted as the date nears.

Septic Systems and Water Quality Workshop

June 7, 2008 - 1:30p

Crescent Creek Restoration Celebration - Friends of Pierce County will
provide a presentation on the restoration project at Crescent Creek. Guest
speakers will talk about shoreline soft armoring and other ways to be
environmentally friendly if you live along the shore. Snacks provided.


August 2008 to June 2009

Friends of Pierce County will host Environmental Clubs for 4th and 5th
graders at Artondale, Voyager, and Purdy Elementary schools. These clubs are
free and meet every other week from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Snacks and materials
are provided to students. Students will also have three field trips.
Sign up begins in June 2008 for the 2008-2009 school year.
