Volunteer tour guides are available to lead your school group through the courthouse (County-City Building, 930 Tacoma Avenue South) to view trials and other court proceedings. The tour guides greatly enhance the learning experience for the students. Our tour guides have extensive experience and will tailor the tour to meet your students' age level. Students will only attend court proceedings that are appropriate for their age group.
Tours are generally scheduled in the morning and last from 2-3 hours. To get more information about the program and arrange a tour call (253)798-3654, press 7.

Etiquette for Courthouse Tours
To maintain order and courtroom decorum, it is essential that all students stay with the group and move from courtroom to courtroom as directed. We also request that students refrain from talking when in a courtroom. Noise can be very disruptive to the parties, witness, attorneys and the judge. When entering the County-City Building, all persons will be scanned by an airport style metal detector. No weapons, scissors, metal utensils, or knives with blades over two inches are allowed in the building.
