Belly Dance - Middle Eastern Belly Dance is a lowimpact form of dance appropriate for all body types and backgrounds. Learn the history, basic movements, isolation techniques, and more from the Jeweled Scarab Dance Company. No dance experience necessary. All ages, shapes, body types and genderswelcome. Come with a willingness to learn, make new friends, laugh and have a good time.

Adult Social Dancing Classes
Argentine Tango - This dance originated in the barrios of Buenos Aires and today is a part of Argentina's daily fabric of life and a world wide dancing sensation. The embrace, closeness, rhythm, and intensity of the dance is unlike any other. Argentine Tango is the most impromptu of all the partner dances as there are no patterns to memorize.

Ballet Drop-In - Adult ballet uses basic ballet steps in a simple way to get our bodies moving and stretch our muscles. The class is adjustable to make it as hard or easy as you want. This class is offered on a drop-in basis, come as often as your schedule allows. ATTIRE: Comfortable clothes you can move and stretch in, ballet shoes pink or black.

Puppy Obedience - The Sirius Puppy training class covers neutering, anti-aggressive training (bite inhibition), house training, socialization to people/dogs,behavior problems (barking, chewing, digging), handling, and basic obedience. Methods involve short training periods with play periods and positive rewards. Limited corrections. Most work done off lead.
Class is for puppies 12-18 weeks old at the start of class. Older puppies MAY be admitted by permission of the instructor. On the first night of class bring proof of vaccination, puppy with non-choke collar and lead, puppy treats, and all members of the family interested in learning to train puppy. Do not feed puppy before class.

Dog Obedience Training - In this beginner course, learn how to train your dog to be a well-mannered companion at home, as well as to compete with high scores in AKC obedience trials. Novice exercises include: heeling on and off the leash, sit, stay, down stay, stand for examination, recall and finish.
REQUIRED: Current DHL-P,Parvovirus, and Rabies Vaccination,current fecal test negative for worms,chain training collar (small link) no more than 2 inches larger than the circumference of the dog?s neck, 6-foot leather lead, and well-fitting shoes with soles that grip. NO DOGS first class! The first class is an hour lecture.

Skills and Manners for Your Dog - This is a transition class for dogs who may not be ready for a regular obedience class. It is designed to help dogs that lack confidence and socialization skills with other dogs or people. Emphasis will be on socialization and basic obedience using positive reinforcement. Behavior problems such as digging, chewing, biting and barking will be addressed. Some off lead work will be done in class.
Required: Current shots, 6' lead,leather or nylon, non-choke collar,dog treats, scoop bags, and towels for messes. Do not feed before class. Dogs aggressive to other dogs will not be accepted.

Jazzercise - The class combines effective exercise with jazz dance-based choreography and popular music. Each high-energy class includes a warm up, aerobic segment, muscle toning and flexibility exercises, and a cool down. Classes may be purchased on a continuous basis and must be taken during that time period. Payments are made to Jazzercise at the class.

Yoga in the Viniyoga Tradition - Viniyoga focuses on adapting to the individual student, making this class perfect for those new to yoga or seeking to deepen their practice. Emphasis is on the use of breath, alignment, and progressive stretching to learn the postures and flowing movements. Focus is to help students begin from where they are and to develop a home practice. Please bring an exercise mat and blanket to class.

Hatha Yoga - Hatha Yoga is a great way to decrease stress while increasing flexibility and strength. This class is perfect for all body types, new or experienced yoga practitioner. Learn breathing techniques plus standing and floor postures. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring a yoga mat and blanket (optional yoga blocks, straps, and pillow).

Beginning Tai Chi and Qigong - Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese 'moving meditation' practiced by millions throughout the world for its health, fitness, and stress-reducing benefits. Tai Chi consists of fluid, gentle movements done at a relaxed, slow pace. Time magazine called Tai Chi 'the perfect exercise' because it can be practiced by almost anyone regardless of physical ability. Participants will learn a short Tai Chi form along with complimentary Qigong (energy) exercises and meditation. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and shoes.

Good Samaritan Celebrate Seniority EnhanceFitness
EnhanceFitness is a low-cost fitness program designed for people 55 and older who want to improve their health and have fun too!
This class combines the three key components of fitness: strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. Classes begin with a warm-up period and finishes with a cool-down session. The instructor is trained through EnhanceFitness and will demonstrate variations and modifications to the program so you can find a level that is the perfect fit for you.

Zumba Fitness
ZUMBA is a group exercise class that uses a mix of Latin and International music to create a dynamic, fun, and effective cardio workout. Designed to utilize an interval training format, combining various rhythms with movements that tone and sculpt the body. Expect to burn 500-800 calories an hour, tone muscles, relieve stress, elevate self-esteem, and increase confidence. Wear comfortable clothes , bring a water bottle and towel.

Lake Spanaway Golf Course offers an extensive selection of private and group lessons for all ages. in individual or group settings. Gift certificates for lessons are also available for your favorite golfer. All lesson fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable. All private lessons must be scheduled in advance and will last for 1/2 hour to 40 minutes. Groups lessons must be scheduled in advance and will last 45 minutes to an hour.
