What is the Take it Back Network?

The Take it Back Network is a partnership among government agencies, retailers, repair shops, charitable organizations and recyclers to provide consumers with options for recycling certain wastes, and their hazardous components, in a safe, cost-effective manner.

Pierce County and the City of Tacoma are partners in the Take it Back Network.

About Take it Back Network Members:

  • Network members are committed to providing environmentally sound recycling services.
  • They agree to recycle the materials domestically or in developed nations.
  • Upon request, they provide customers with documentation about how and where their materials are recycled.
