Lakewood Community Center

The Lakewood Community Center is a multipurpose center, serving residents of all ages. The Community Center offers many activities, programs and services provided by Pierce County Parks and Recreation. Features of our center include:
  • College-sized gymnasium
  • Meeting rooms
  • Seeley Lake Park and trail
  • Lakewood Senior Activity Center
The center is also available for rent; it is perfect for your family party, business meeting, sports tournaments, church or social organization. For rentals, please contact the center at (253)798-4199, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.to 4:30 p.m.

Facility Hours

The building is open for morning drop-in programs at 8 a.m. The Parks and Recreation Administration office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.except for federal holidays. The building is closed for the following holidays unless otherwise posted:

  • New Year's Day
  • Easter
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas 

Seeley Lake Park

This 48-acre natural area includes a 1.3 mile walking trail that provides green seclusion with young red alder saplings and in the growing season white snowberries and red and black blackberries. Small marshes appear suddenly amidst the brush and in the winter more of the pond is visible. 

Lakewood Senior Activity Center 

The Lakewood Senior Activity Center provides programs and events separate from Pierce County Parks and Recreation. For more information contact:
