Pierce County Parks is updating the Parks, Recreation & Open Space (PROS) Plan. This is an update to the 2014 PROS Plan. The PROS Plan provides a vision and strategic implementation plan to provide opportunities for people to connect to nature; live active, healthy lifestyles; experience vibrant community spaces; and learn about sustainable practices. The plan also address open space and trails as integral elements of a livable community. The PROS Plan guides planning for the park system from 2020-2030.
Pierce County Parks released an updated draft of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan on November 15, 2019, which will be considered at Public Hearings in November 2019. The public is invited to attend the following meetings to learn more about the PROS Plan:
