Shred events have been canceled until August 2021 at the earliest.
We feel that until all residents coming out to our shred events can be safe, we must be responsible and do our part to help keep COVID-19 from spreading. We continue to evaluate the situation and are hopeful that we can continue with these events in the future. Please read below for some other shredding options.
There's a better way to shred
Shredded paper is no longer accepted in our recycling program. Bring your documents to a Pierce County-sponsored shred event. Your information stays private and the shredding is recycled.
10 a.m.–1 p.m.
If a lot of people participate, we may limit you to three grocery-sized bags per person. When the truck fills, the event is over. This service is for household materials. Documents from businesses are not accepted.
Shred events cannot accept bags of shredded paper. If you have bags of paper that you have already shredded, please put it in your garbage.
