Concession Opportunities

Pierce County Parks and Recreation is accepting applications from qualified vendors to conduct concession cart sales at select county parks beginning Memorial Day through Labor Day. Food trucks and concession cart vending service will be offered at the following parks where no other food and/or beverage service is currently offered.

Available in 2019:


  • Dawson Playfield, 1605 - 90th St. E, Tacoma, 98404
  • Frontier Park, 21800 Meridian S, Graham, 98338
  • Gonyea Playfield, 13422 - 10th Avenue, Tacoma, 98444
  • Spanaway Park, 14905 Bresemann Blvd. S, Spanaway, 98387

Not Available in 2019:


  • North Lake Tapps County Park, 1715 - 198th Ave. E, Bonney Lake, 98391

Program Guidelines


The food truck and concession cart vending program is limited to commercially pre-packaged food items; such as: ice cream bars, popsicles, chips, juices, water, coffee, muffins, cookies, etc. except at North Lake Tapps Park. Food trucks are allowed at North Lake Tapps Park.

All food trucks and concession carts must be fully self-contained and supported and comply with Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department Temporary Event Program (www.tpchd.org; contact Amanda Peters at (253)798-7677, apeters@tpchd.org) rules and regulations.

Applications


Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Applicant will be contacted after application is received. Interested vendors may submit our on-line application beginning March 1st of each year.

Vendors selected and approved to vend are required to pay a non-refundable application fee, in addition to damage and park site vendor fees prior to operations. In the event the park site(s) is not available, the application fee will be returned.
