Rental Assistance
Landlords can pre-register starting March 1 - click here.The application is NOT open for tenants at this time. Tenants can start applying in mid-March.

- Helping Children Cope with Emergencies
- Free virtual developmental screenings are available to families who may have questions about their child’s development. To schedule a virtual screening, call or text 253-691-2280.

- If you are experiencing homelessness, call 2-1-1 for on-demand support. Youth experiencing homelessness ages 12-24 can access housing and other services online through the REACH center.
- Every Thursday until April, from 11AM-1PM, youth ages 13-26 can pick up a bag of warm clothes and food from the Rainbow Center, located at 2215 Pacific Ave. in Tacoma.

- Emergency Food Network supported Food Pantry Sites
- United Way 2-1-1connects individuals and families with programs and services to help them navigate through the barriers that are preventing them from becoming self-sufficient.
- Seniors and individuals with disabilities who need assistance accessing food should contact the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 253-798-4600 or 800-562-0332.
- If you're able to, considering volunteering at a local food bank.
Housing
- If you are experiencing homelessness, call 2-1-1 for on-demand support or to schedule a virtual Coordinated Entry housing appointment. Youth experiencing homelessness ages 12-24 can access housing and other services online through the REACH center.
- New Hope Mobile Resource Response Team provides access to showers, laundry services, food, clothing, phone chargers, bus passes, first aid supplies, mental health services and more. Hours and locations vary. Call 253-845-0174 for the updated schedule.
- If you're at risk of being evicted for non-payment of rent, TacomaPROBONO is offering FREE EVICTION RESOLUTION services. Landlords and tenants can contact them at 253-572-5137 ext. 102 or hjp@tacomaprobono.org
- Pierce County Minor Home Repairs program can help homeowners address health and safety issues. Residents must live outside the city limits of Tacoma, Lakewood and Bonney Lake to qualify. Call 253-798-4400 (press #2).

- Washington Listens is a free community service that helps people manage stress and anxiety they may be experiencing because of COVID-19. If you or anyone you know is in need of support, help is out there. Call the Washington Listens support line at 1-833-681-0211 Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM, and 9AM-6PM on weekends.
- National Disaster Distress Helpline 24/7/365 crisis counseling & emotional support continues to be available for anyone experiencing distress or other mental health concerns during the ongoing COVID-19 infectious disease outbreak. Calls (1-800-985-5990; press "2" for Spanish) and texts (text TalkWithUs to 66746) are answered by trained counselors from a network of independently-operated crisis centers located across the U.S.
- Find mental health counseling and substance use support using our Behavioral Health Services Locator.
- For a non-life threatening but urgent behavioral health crisis, please contact the Pierce County Crisis Line at 1-800-576-7764 or text 741-741.
- The Washington Warm Line is a peer support help line for people experiencing emotional and mental health challenges. Call 1-877-500-WARM or 877-500-9276.

Free special needs transportation expands in rural Pierce County
The Beyond the Borders Connector will offer new routes to riders with special needs Read on...
The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed by Congress allocated federal funds to jurisdictions across the country. Pierce County received an allocation of approximately $158 million and roughly $32 million will be spent on community response and resilience. Interested organizations may apply for these funding opportunities.
