Crisis Recovery Center Project Update

Thank you for your interest in Pierce County’s Crisis Recovery Center. We have made good progress and I want to provide a couple of updates to you.
The first update to share with you is that we are getting ready to launch the RFP for our general contractor. This is an exciting step forward and we expect to complete the selection process by late spring.
The second update is that we have completed the soil testing and are using the results of those tests to adjust the placement of the Center on the County’s property.  Due to the presence of some wetlands, we are shifting the Center to the east on the other side of the existing driveway.
The Center will still be located behind a thick stand of trees and not visible from the road.  In addition, it will be about the same distance from 112th Street.
We will keep you posted as we mark major project milestones but please let us know if you have any questions.
